Plush Mattresses

At the softest end of the firmness scale, a plush mattress (or soft mattress) has a comfortable, body-hugging feel many snoozers love. This is achieved via in-built comfort layers that provide cloud-like cushioning – while possessing the same internal support structures as a firmer mattress.

Favouring a plush mattress comes down to personal comfort preferences. However, many also choose plush mattresses for their ability to conform and cushion.

Providing superior contouring and pressure relief, soft mattresses are often an ideal option for side sleepers – particularly those with hip or shoulder pain. They also suit many back sleepers, but heavy individuals, stomach sleepers or those with back pain may require a firmer surface.

Snoozers commonly confuse plush and pillow-top mattresses – and there is a difference. A plush mattress combines a supportive core with soft comfort layers while a pillow-top mattress has a plush layer sewn on top.

This style of mattress feels luxurious, but it can trap heat, lack edge support, and be susceptible to sagging over time.

With four times the springs of a standard hybrid, our luxurious Pure Mattress delivers precision comfort, contouring and motion isolation for deeply restful sleep. Its engineered layer of BounceTech™ foam and Dunlop latex provides durable cushioning and bounce – and can easily be flipped to switch from medium to medium-plush firmness.

With added comfort layers, plush mattresses can come with a premium price tag. But not our Essence Mattress – available in your choice of plush, medium and firm. We’ve worked hard to keep our pocket spring mattress easy on your wallet and the planet with eco-friendly, cost-effective materials.

Sleep in cushioned comfort with a super-soft foam layer that eliminates partner disturbance.
